Wow! So this is the week! The annual Asians on Film Festival. I'm so excited to meet the other filmmakers, check out their films, and see what talent the Asian-American creative community has been brewing!

If you hadn't heard already, this past January, our film, Mango Sticky Rice, won FIVE awards at the Asians on Film Festival for the Fall Quarter 2015. It's an incredible blessing, and we couldn't have done it without the help of each other, our families and friends, our mentors, and other awesome supporters. These wins guaranteed our spot as an Official Selection for the annual festival event, and we will be pitted against the other Quarterly Winners for the annual awards. Fingers crossed!

For this week, we are nominated for the following categories:

Best Comedy, Best Director (Mallorie Ortega), Best Ensemble Cast, Best Editing (Steve Greist, Qianzhu Luo), and last but not least, Best Original Score (yours truly)!

All winning films from each quarter will be screened throughout this week at the Japanese American National Museum in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles.

Mango Sticky Rice screens on Sunday, March 13, at 8:30 pm, followed by a panel discussion. See you there!
